Nikki Lyons is to attempt to set a Women’s solo 9 hour merino lamb record at ‘Glendemar’ 336 Glendemar Road, Marnoo, Victoria, Australia.
Currently there is no Women’s solo 9 hour record.
Referees are: Alistair Emslie Convener, N.Z. Dave Grant, Steve Potaka-Osborne, Barry Hammonds, Australia.
 

Saturday 18th October 2025

A five stand 8 hour merino lamb record attempt is to take place at ‘Boorooke’ 520 Morven/Cookardinia Road, Morven, NSW, Australia.
Riverina Shearing Team of Lochie Robertson, Benjamin Duncan, Cameron Hicks, Toby Walker, Nick Lehmann are the shearers.
Currently there is no five stand 8 hour merino lamb record.
Referees are: Johnny Fraser Convener N.Z. Neil Fagan N.Z. Dave Grant, Barry Hammonds, Mike Henderson, Mark Baldwin, Ralph Blue, Peter Artridge, Australia.
 

Saturday 31st January 2026

Ratima Shearing are to attempt the 3 stand 8 hour strong wool lamb record set in 2019 by Cole L’Huillier, Kaleb Foote, Daniel Langlands (Tally 1976).
Shearers are Shane Ratima, Paerata Abrahams, Leon Samuels, is to take place at Waihelo Station, West Otago, N.Z.

    South Africa now has claim to the two stand 9 hour merino lamb World Record of 970.
    Tienie du Plessis 447 and Aidan Copp 523 set the final total at ‘Teebuswaters’, Steynsburg, Easter Cape, South Africa.
    Rain, quite cold conditions and a wool weight average of 1.9 kgs made for a tough day.
    Referees were: Mike Henderson Convener, Mark Buscumb Australia, Eddie Archer, Quinton Rogers, Piet Nel, South Africa.
